About Your Guide...

Becky Brose, Ph.D. is a human geneticist + molecular biologist, yoga teacher, yoga teacher trainer, and mindfulness meditation trainer mesmerized by the beneficial effects of yoga and mind-body practices on the inner workings of our being. She began practicing yoga 20 years ago and has learned a lot from her own body.  Living with scoliosis and spinal fusion (T3-L2), she has directly experienced the ability of yoga to keep the aches and pains away. Throughout her  journey, she has also experienced the stress relieving capabilities of yoga and meditation. 


After a successful research career with Johns Hopkins University and the National Institutes of Health, she chose to deepen her personal studies of how the mind and body work and share the gifts of yoga and mindfulness with others. She has combined her scientific background and love of learning to better understand the effects of yoga and mindfulness in her own body and life and couldn't be more excited to share these practices with you in a down-to-earth and practical way.


Becky has an incredible ability to share her knowledge and experiences in an easy-to-understand and digestible way. When you work with you her, she will not only teach you how your body and mind work, she will also create an embodied experience so you can feel how your body and mind work first hand. Through first hand experience you will start to feel better...body, mind, and soul.
